Gérard Dupervil (Miragoâne 1932 – Port-au-Prince 1994) “Le crooner infaillible” et impénitent.
Idéaliste, romantique à la folie, poète malgré lui, voilà comment pêut-être décrit l’homme et sa voix.
L’un et l’autre ou les deux à la fois constituent un paquet magique et sonore qui a charmé tant de générations et fait rêver la jeunesse des années 1950 et 1960.
Multi-instrumentiste à ses débuts, Gérard Dupervil pouvait jouer de la trompette, l’accordéon, l’harmonium, la guitare et le malaca. Armé de ces diverses aptitudes, il était prêt pour bousculer certaines idées reçues.
